Severnoaks Stud is a small family-run stud farm set in the heart of Shropshire, dedicated to breeding Irish Draught horses, Sport Horses and quality part-breds with exceptional temperament and presence.

 

Established in 2011 under our original “Grinshill” prefix, our approach combines generations of hands-on experience with a genuine passion for producing horses that excel both in competition and as valued family partners.

 

Our late father also bred a select number of thoroughbreds in the early 2000s, including one that achieved over £100,000 in racing prize money — a legacy that continues to inspire our standards today.

 

We offer a professional and personal breeding service, with two DEFRA-approved A.I. technicians on site, alongside full stallion collection and semen processing facilities. A. limited number of mares are welcome to stay at the stud, or semen can be carefully prepared and shipped directly to your door.

 

Every foal raised at Severnoaks benefits from a carefully managed, family environment, ensuring confident, well-handled young horses with the temperament and trainability to succeed in a variety of homes.
